Princess Poppy was ALL the rage in our house last year. From her eccentric positive personality, to her wild pink hair, we are a fan Princess Poppy! Plus, you can't beat those booty shaking dance numbers. So it was only natural for this sweet, vibrant pink smoothie to get dubbed the 'Poppy Smoothie'! The rich, vibrant pink color comes from the dragon fruit, also know as Pitaya. Check out all the amazing health benefit below!
This beautiful fruit is loaded with a plethora of micronutrients!
Vitamins C, B1, B2, B3 and Carotene
High in Antioxidant and Fiber
Calcium, Magnesium, Niacin and Iron
Phosphorus and phytoalbumins
Helps boots immunity, speeds healing, great for skin and memory loss. Helps lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
We love this smoothie here because it is super easy to make, loaded with health benefits and always a hit! Blended up with my all time forever protein powder from Orgain, it just can't be beat! Check out their KIDS nutrition drink here! My son and ALL the kiddos here LOVE their "monkey milk" as they call it. Great nutrition, quick and easy grab. Awesome to have on hand for picky eaters or after illness to get some nutrients in your little one!
2 scoop of Orgains Vanilla Bean Protein Powder
2 packets of frozen Pitaya (found near the frozen fruit)
1 frozen banana
8-10 oz of cashew, almond or coconut milk.
Always place liquid first in blender, then add all ingredients on top. Blend and stick in freezer for about 15 minutes. This allows mixture to thicken a bit. Scoop on a dollop of coconut 'cloud' ice cream. Also know as, cloud guy. I make my coconut ice cream homemade but you can purchase vegan coconut ice cream from the store as well. This is great on hot summer days, with a little Earth, Wind and Fire on the speakers. Enjoy!
